DIVERSION

The inspiration for Diversion originates in our family’s recreation and pastime:  fishing the Texas Gulf Coast. We have been fishing the waters of Galveston Bay (and sometimes land, by accident…) since the early 1900s.  For those of you that are not familiar with the Galveston Bay system, Diversion is a canal near Tiki Island, in between Jones and West Bay.  For our family, many of our fondest memories are in Diversion Canal, sometimes with fish and other times just with stories.

So, when we Googled "Diversion" and learned that one of the definitions is “a recreation or pastime”, we knew we had to pursue our dream of starting this endeavor of a lifestyle apparel company.

When it comes to the logo, you will notice that it is not a fish. If you are a serious fisherman/woman, you know how important birds are in the journey. They can lead you to an ice chest full of fish, a big redfish working its way along the shoreline or a line of industrial garbage.  So, we would be remiss if our brand didn’t pay homage to the birds that lead us to the fish. It also happens to perfectly fit the coastal comfort theme.

We hope you appreciate Diversion and the impetus for its origin. From our family to yours, cast far and cast often, friends. After all, we all need a Diversion in life.
